Doum is the fruit of the doum palm (Hyphaene thebaica), a tree of the Nile and the Sahel. Its fibrous, gingerbread-flavoured pulp is made into a drink that is very popular in Egypt and Sudan.

Preparation
Soak the pieces in cold water overnight, or boil them for 10 minutes, strain, then sweeten to taste. Serve chilled.

Europe – Colissimo or Mondial Relay (pickup point, depending on the country): €8.90, no customs fees, delivered in 10 to 15 business days.
DHL Express: €13 within Europe, €20 for the rest of the world, delivered in 2 to 5 business days. Any customs fees are payable by you; if they are not paid, the parcel is destroyed by the carrier and cannot be refunded.
When will I receive my order?
Your order is prepared within 2 to 3 business days. Then allow 10 to 15 business days with Colissimo or Mondial Relay (the tracking number becomes active after about ten days), or 2 to 5 business days with DHL Express.
