From before our era, these shells were used as a means of payment and their possession constituted a tangible sign of prosperity and power. These typical small white shells, very well known in Africa, particularly in Morocco, Algeria but also in Senegal, called in Arabic "weda'a", are used to prepare a traditional homemade treatment intended to treat various localized skin problems, particularly on the face: blackheads, pigment spots, pimples, dull complexion, "pregnancy mask" (better known as "chloasma")... This is an old grandmother's oriental remedy which is very effective. - To use them: simply place them in a glass jar (which closes) and cover them with a little fresh lemon juice then leave them to macerate overnight generally, you will then obtain a natural white cream more or less liquid (we advise you to rinse the shellfish and dry them with a clean cloth before using them). This treatment cream is applied either to the entire face or to problem areas and imperfections: this mixture helps to unify the complexion by providing a brightening effect thanks to the lemon, to have clearer and smoother skin by eliminating temporary pimples, spots and scars. If you want to make a full mask or just put it on certain areas, you need to macerate a large shell or two small ones. Depending on the number of shells needed for a treatment, with 10 shells you can make a course of 5 to 10 masks, you can also do just one per month. Generally for skin problems that are difficult to treat, it is advisable to do one or two masks per week and preferably in the evening. Regarding tasks, they begin to disappear over time as you use more applications. As soon as you feel that your skin has absorbed the cream obtained, rinse your skin with lukewarm water then cold water. - Thanks to the acidic power of lemon, this mixture allows you to carry out a natural "peeling" to restore new skin. It is normal for the lemon to sting slightly during the mask, but if this is not bearable for your skin, do not hesitate to rinse it immediately.
