The plant has antiseptic, antispasmodic, analgesic and calming properties. In Morocco : Lavender is commonly used to perfume bathrooms and hammams as well as to repel moths from fabrics and wool. In traditional medicine, the flowering tops and leaves are used as an infusion to calm coughs and treat colds. A decoction of the leaves is used for intimate cleansing in cases of female genital infections. The dried and pounded leaves are used in combination with henna in hair care. Infusion: Put 5 g of dried flowers in 1 liter of boiling water. Leave to infuse for 5 minutes, then filter. Drink 4 cups per day between meals, including one in the evening before bed to combat insomnia
