Precautions to take Warning: sage herbal tea is contraindicated in pregnant women as well as in young breastfeeding mothers, because it has a stimulating action on ovulation. It is also common in people suffering from epilepsy or breast cancer. It should also not be taken for a long time as it can have neurotoxic effects. Some naturopaths advise limiting the sage herbal treatment to nine or ten days maximum and spacing them approximately three weeks apart.
