Asafoetida is a plant similar to a giant fennel that grows over 4 meters high. When its resin is extracted, a sort of whitish latex flows out. Like most resins, it hardens directly upon contact with air. Hiltite then changes from a pinkish color to an almost red color. You can use this natural resin as incense. Be careful, its smell is very strong and can be considered unpleasant/unpleasant for some. It is also called Asafoetida.
